    Fielding excellence will officially be recognized at the Divisions I, II and III levels of college baseball for the first time. Nine student-athletes from each division will receive NCAA Rawlings Gold Glove Awards for outstanding defensive play during the 2007 season. NCAA.org

    Legislation passed in 2002 by the NCAA has created more flexibility for Division II baseball players to pursue a professional career without forfeiting their college eligibility.
