MEN'S

At the Division 1 level, 327 universities have basketball teams for men. There are 13 scholarships available per team to be divided among the players. A total of 4,251 scholarships are offered in Division 1 basketball for men.

At the Division 2 level, 278 universities have basketball teams for men. There are 10 scholarships available per team to be divided among the players. A total of 2,780 scholarships are offered in Division 2 basketball for men.

WOMEN'S

At the Division 1 level, 325 universities have basketball teams for women. There are 15 scholarships available per team to be divided among the players. A total of 4,875 scholarships are offered in Division 1 basketball for women.

At the Division 2 level, 276 universities have basketball teams for women. There are 10 scholarships available per team to be divided among the players. A total of 2,760 scholarships are offered in Division 2 basketball for women.

MEN/ WOMEN

Each basketball team has an average of 12 players. Scholarships are divided among the 12 players based on the coach’s preference. Athletes will receive a full or partial athletic scholarship. Some players choose to compete without a scholarship.
