Brown University has taken a lead role in an effort that has led to one of the NCAA’s most anticipated national championships — the Women’s Frozen Four. Women’s ice hockey debuted as an NCAA championship sport in 2001, and the Bears made their first appearance in The Women’s Frozen Four the following year.
