Brown University has taken a lead role in an effort that has led to one of the NCAA’s most anticipated national championships — the Women’s Frozen Four. Women’s ice hockey debuted as an NCAA championship sport in 2001, and the Bears made their first appearance in The Women’s Frozen Four the following year. NCAA.org
