Track and Field Committee reviews pole vault rules

The Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Committee has decided not to pursue a pole vault rule which would have separated intercollegiate pole vault from the rest of the world. NCAA.org

I agree with Pat, you can be the best athlete with the worst attitude and go unnoticed. Today, coaches and organizations focus on personality and character rather than straight up talent. The potential to be the best and the potential to put a bad name on a program go hand in hand.
